1 - An Entire day at the airport...
So in the summer of 2023 (or 2024 idk) i went to turkey, on the plane i met a family (unfortunately i dont have any pictures) they werent going to the same hotel but we echanged contact info.
Now at the end of the trip, i headed to the airport, did all the usual, went to the gate, And guess what? That same family was taking this plane too!, so we chatted and waited, and made some new friends too,
And we waited, and waited, We waited so much the morning turned into a Afternoon, And the afternoon turned into an evening.. Why couldnt we board the plane? We should already have arrived back home?!
We should have taken off at about 8:30 to 9:00, So whats happening? Well beacuse of the hot temperature somehow the fuel started leaking from the plane, Brussels airlines sent a second plane, Same thing..
Everybody was angry, (including me) It was like a protest. Everybody was like "Why cant we get on?" And such things, To make it even worse, you had phone booths, but to use the phone booths you needed a phone card
The card was about the size of a bank card, with a small chip like a sim card, i had one! But naturally i had wasted all of it to make a call to belgium a few days before, And how do you get one of those cards?
1 - Leave the terminal 2 - Go to the entrance of the airport and buy a card at one of the kiosks 3 - Go Through Check in and security. 4 - Miss your flight, or have to wait an entire day,
Eventually The airline gave everyone 2 options, 1 - come with them to a hotel and sleep there (breakfast included) all for free until the issue is fixed OR 2 - sleep at the airport (breakfast not included)
We chose option 1, go to the hotel, next day, we wake up, eat, go to the airport, check in, etc etc etc. and finally we could board! And then the plan crashed, No, actually we arrived in belgium completly safe, The end
Yeah but who are the 2 kids then?.
I dont remember the names. (and even if i did i wouldnt tell you) but i met them while waiting, they asked me to take some pictures of them so i did, The girl on picture 2 is playing on my gameboy!
I still have some drawing she made for me, i wish them all the best in her life, :-D
